Take action now to keep your baby from having a deformed head! | baby flat head syndrome

Since babies started sleeping on their backs, there has been an expontial increase in babies developing flat head syndrome, also known as plagiocephaly and brachycephaly, conditions that can cause temporary or even permanent disfiguring of a baby's head. This can cause flattening on the back of the head, and even push the top of the head into a cone shape. It can also cause the forehead to bulge out on one side, one ear to shift forward, and change the features of your baby's face.

the consequences can be devastating, a permanent deformity that causes adults to stare and other children to make fun of, or even bully, the affected child. Helmets won't fit the child correctly, and because helmets are required for so many sports and activities, this can jepoardize the safety of your child. If you wait too long, it can be too late.

i was very interested to read this book as have a friend whose son was diagnosed with the condition recently. I have a son already and another on the way and had never realized the importance of tummy time for them when so young.
